The best way to build your email list is to show value and assert yourself as an authority.

 

To do that you give away your best stuff for free.

 

You may be thinking what the?

 

If I give it away for free why would anyone want to buy from me or pay for my service?

 

Well, here's the thing people pay for your ability to help them solve their problems. If you can show them how you can help them for free, when it's time for them to invest, you are at the top of the list.

 

So here is how you can help your tribe for free whilst growing your email list.

 

1) Lead Magnets

Lead magnets come in many forms but the key is they solve a problem for your niche.

 

It doesn't take long to create a short E-Book packed full of content that resonates with your niche and solves their problem. You can hit up Fiverr for someone to convert your word document to a marketable E-BOOK. Or have it as a PDF that you can email out.

 

Cheat Sheet is another good lead magnet that can be created in word, that can be emailed as a pdf.

 

But remember it needs to be of value.

 

2) Competition.

You can run a competition for your coaching services, such as 4 weeks group training, adding the winner to an existing group you have.

Or 4 weeks online nutrition coaching. It's a great way to generate leads into your email marketing funnels and convert the winner to a paying client at the end of the competition phase. 

 

3) Giveaways

This is an existing product you may have or an affiliation with another brand or company. Supplements work really well along with apparel. Maybe you have some branded items you can give away. The aim here is to grow your email database.

Drive traffic to a subscription form as well as your social channels. You can set this up easy through your marketing software like Active Campaign or Mailchimp.

 

An email series is another good way to hit your fans with good content regularly. Maybe you go for 7 days of workouts straight to your inbox or 7 days of nutrition tips for fat loss. All your content that you post relates back to this specific giveaway with a call to action to register for it.

 

4) Webinars.

Hosting a webinar on a topic that is relevant to your niche, that adds value and sets you as an authority and expert in your field. To register you need email addresses. To do this you also need a funnel to generate leads and sell the webinar. Which is where Click Funnels is great. 

 

I'm currently using ZOOM for all my coaching calls, sales calls and webinars. 

 

So there are many ways you can give value to your tribe whilst growing your business. 

 

Once you have an email address you can then deliver more personal content to that individual and start to build a relationship with them.
