How to know when to take a Deload?

These can be planned into your training but absolutely not set in stone.

If you fluffed around for a few weeks at the start of a program you may find that you can push a bit harder for a few more weeks before you need a Deload.

Alternatively, if your scheduled Deload is approaching and you get sick and it hits you hard you can bring this forward a week.

Remember that whilst there is a system, the system needs to be flexible to adapt to your own needs.
